15 year old Karan Rawat, Manjoli Village, Dhabkhal is know an inspiration for garhwali youth. He is now a famed folk star of Uttrakhand and is soon moving to foreign countries for new concerts.
Son of Hari Singh(cultivator) & Sateshwari Devi(Home maker) is a good student also. He is studying in 11the standard in science stream and passed his high school with good marks.
His father sings during Village Ramleela, seeing this Karan also got attracted towards music and started towards folk songs. His songs are written by his father and his only dream is to fame his fathers' name.
In just an age of 15 he has a number of achievements.
In tbe age of 8 his first music album 'Samlaunya Rumal' got released without any govt. help, his father arranged all the funds for that.
After this his beautiful songs in the form of a new album 'Bhaiji Kya Byan Tab' got released in market & became popular. He also made an album "Gyan Roopi Ganga" on the founder of 'Hans cultural centre' Bholeji Maharaj and Mata Mangla.
He got honour of "Youth Icon Award" by State Government in october.
With his hard work and his fathers' determination he is now getting the chance to participate in 'Kauthig 2016' in Saudi countries. Soon his voice will gain showers of applause in Dubai, Muscat and Quwait.
Along with his studies he shared stage with famous artists and 'Garh Ratna'.
What a father-son pair! Karan wants to fulfill his father dream and his father wants to see him as a shining folk artist.
