The Inspirational Story of Mushroom Man of Garhwal.

Nowadays self employment is done in many ways some are innovative and others are unique. One such example of self employment by production of mushroom and an inspirational source for rural people is a youth from the border district Chamoli.

 He in his production unit regularly produces 20-30kg mushroom and earns three to four thousand rupees on a daily basis. Not only this he is also introducing new opportunities for employment. The neighbor villagers who come to just visits his work, return with a determined thought of getting involved in such a business of earning more in less time.

Bhagwat Juyal is a native of village Pajiyana, Dhunaghat-Mathkot roadway which is at a distance of 8 km from Tehsil headquarters, Gairsain. The 35 years old inspirational person decided for mushroom production few months ago & experimented by producing mushroom in a polythene bag which was successful. 

Accordingly he decided to continue this in a large scale. For this he constructed a building of four rooms near his village, two of which consists multilayer mushroom bed made of bamboo sticks & the other two are for sorting and storage purpose. In present, he is a source of employment for one youth and two women of the village. 

The caretaker of the production unit Janardan Prasad Juyal states that currently there is a daily production of 20-30kg of button mushroom which costs 200 ruppees for 1 kg in market. He told that if government provide help and training centres of mushroom production for other villages then it could be a great help to unemployed villagers.

The youth inspiration Bhagwat clarifies his selfless motive of providing employment to more people in his mushroom production unit so that they don't need to migrate towards cities for jobs.

Such kind of inspirations are rare but really unique. These kind of thoughts and efforts are enough for transition of country to a developed country.
