Neelkanth Mahadev, Rishikesh- Place where Lord Shiva took poison
This temple is situated towards the eastern side of
Rishikesh and 12 kilometers from Lakshman Jhula. The height of this place is
1550m above sea level and it is climatically extremely good. The view of Ganges
from here is breath-taking.
Neelkanth’s temple is located between the hills of Manikoot,
Vishnukoot and Brahmakoot:26 kms north east of Rishikesh by road and 11 kms
away on foot.

Lakha Mandal Temple: Complete Story, The Place where Pandavas Escaped
Lakha Mandal, or laksh mandal as it used to be known, is presumed to be the spot were the palace made of desiduous timber was built by the Kauravas, who conspired to kill the Pandavas.
Lakh' or 'Lac' is hindi for resin and (Mandal) means region. while the pandavas lived here Bheem slayed two tiranical chief tyrant of this region and it was here that he married Hidimba (sister of the tyrants) and fathered Ghatotkach.

Tapkeshwar Mahadev Dehradun- Complete Story
Through the west of Dehradun, flows the river Tamas or Tons. Legend says that during the Dwaparyug, it was surrounded by thick forests, traversed through a deep gorge, and that on its banks the warrior-sage Dhronacharya meditated. That it why this cave- temple is called Drona Gupha.
A remarkable feature of this cave-temple is the natural formation of two Shivlings-including the one Dhronacharya worshiped. It has a fascinating story.
