This temple
is situated towards the south-east side of Pauri at a distance of 37 kms on the
main Pauri-Kotdwara road. The
Siddha-Peeth is located on the left bank of Nawalika. From the road side one
has to walk down hardly 350 metres to the temple site.

Neelkanth Mahadev, Rishikesh- Place where Lord Shiva took poison
This temple is situated towards the eastern side of
Rishikesh and 12 kilometers from Lakshman Jhula. The height of this place is
1550m above sea level and it is climatically extremely good. The view of Ganges
from here is breath-taking.
Neelkanth’s temple is located between the hills of Manikoot,
Vishnukoot and Brahmakoot:26 kms north east of Rishikesh by road and 11 kms
away on foot.

Shri Bharat Mandir-Rishikesh, One of the oldest temple of Uttarakhand.
Situated on the banks of river Ganges, on the foothills of
Himalayas, there comes a city, also known as the Yoga Capital of the
world-Rishikesh. The city is also mentioned as ‘Hrishikesh’ in the
Skanda Purana. In this city, one of the famous temple is Shri Bharat Temple.

Veer Chandra Singh Garhwali-'Superhero of Peshawar'- Birthday Special!
Mahatma Gandhi once said-''If I had one more Chandra Singh Garhwali, then India would have become Independent much earlier. ”Chandra Singh Garhwali was born on 25th December, 1891 in village Ranisera (Masau), Thalisain in the district of Pauri Garhwal. He is known popularly as the 'Superhero of Peshawar Kand' and thus Veer has been added to the name, Chandra Singh Garhwali. After his primary education at home he joined the India army, but even though he was serving the colonial power he remained at heart a staunch nationalist and had his sympathies with the heroes of the freedom movement. His meeting with Gandhiji and the Gandhian influence on him follows an interesting anecdote.
